Who We Are

The women’s discipleship at First Baptist Church maintains a commitment to studying God’s Word in context, values authentic personal connections, respects the autonomy of Bible study leaders, and prioritizes sharing the gospel. Bible study groups engage in contextual understanding of Scripture. These groups play an integral role in facilitating the organic development of close relationships between women in the church. They are multi-generational, and all attempt to see members as individuals rather than categorizing them based on factors such as cultural backgrounds.

What We Do

Women will understand that discipleship is a lifestyle—that every believer is called to be discipled and to disciple others. We believe in enacting discipleship with a strong biblical curriculum, missional opportunities, organic community-based events, and relational conversations. We are able to accomplish this consistently on Wednesday evenings and Sunday events intermittently.

We have a number of volunteer opportunities:

  • Wednesday Night Check-in
  • Sunday Night Cohort Teacher
  • Wednesday Night Co-teacher
  • Fall Event Team / Spring Event Team
  • 2 Day Mission Trip Team
