- The church library worker gives attention to the print and multimedia resources that are made available to the church family. Bibliophiles, retired educators, and simply those with a heart for equipping others could serve as church library workers. Tasks might include receiving donations, screening resources with a biblical worldview for suitable audiences, redirecting some donations to other parties, cataloging resources, shelving, assisting staff and church members in research, and providing suggestions to church staff about resources made available on campus.
- To date, typical hours of operation for the church library include Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings, but the church library worker could come work at his/her convenience. The work might include “up and down” mobility to shelve books as well as the occasional lifting of boxes (<30lbs).
