- One of the local mission initiatives is to actively support area schools–the students, faculty, and staff–and a local school champion for FBC communicates with PTO officers, school administration, and church staff in order to inform the local church about existing needs and possible avenues to bless the community. The local school champion could attend PTO meetings, regularly search for current needs through PTOs’ social media posts and proactive check-ins, coordinate volunteer teams as needed, and help make deliveries.
- A local schools champion for FBC defers to church staff on decisions about expenditures, represents the church in public behavior, and is aware of personal bias for a school or district.
