Upper Room Student Ministry

The UpperRoom Student Ministry is just one emphasis of the greater First Benton Student Ministry. The UpperRoom is for 8-12th grade students of all backgrounds in Central Arkansas. Our primary goal is to move a student from wherever they are in their walk with the Lord to a committed relationship with God. Our strategy to accomplish this is found in these three words; know, love, transform. God knows us, loves us, and seeks to transform us. As a result, we can know God, love God, and be part of the transformation process with God. We believe that when this takes place, the inevitable happens; we genuinely know others, love others, and transform our world.

The UpperRoom seeks to accomplish our mission through various events and programs. We offer a “Midweek Worship Service” to 8-12th grade students on Wednesday Nights during the school year from 6-7:15pm. Additionally, we offer gender and grade specific small group discipleship during our LifeGroup hour at 9:15-10:15am on Sundays. While our LifeGroups primarily meet on Sundays, our groups go way beyond that. We have numerous socials and serve opportunities for LifeGroup participants. LifeGroups are the heartbeat of our discipleship effort as we partner with key mentors/adults to provide consistent and intentional spiritual shepherding.  

Aside from weekly programming, we have events large and small to accelerate the maturity of a disciple. We have events such as Fall Retreat and Reality Weekend.
